A (very) Brief History of KASC - The Blaze 1260 AM

The Blaze 1260 AM is a part of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and serves the ASU and surrounding Tempe communities. The station began as a carrier current station in 1982, meaning that we broadcasted our signal through electrical wires to the dorms on campus. A few years later (around 1986), we finally started broadcasting on an AM signal. When the internet gained popularity, we branched out and started broadcasting online in 1999. Today you can enjoy the lastest underground music 24/7 on your radio or online.
